Truth

Do folks really believe the sh*t that comes outta they mouth or do they just hope other folks believe it? The internet has brought folks together whom may never have been together, friends and lovers. I think that's great. The downside is, it's also brought folks in very close proximity who would have never even been in the same state, let alone "sharing" a conversation. I'm starting to find the later, a bit much for my psyche and overall well being. I'm slowly realizing there are some truly insane mo'fos out there. But the thing is, they don't know they crazy and running around living a "regular" life and passing it off on others as "the norm." Crazed or insane states of being are not "the norm." And to believe it so, is nothing short of sheer lunacy.

I've been reading and hearing some of the most insane sh*t. And frankly I just can't take it anymore. I'm tired of hearing that racism doesn't exist ANYMORE and that if you know it to be true you should A) go back to Africa or B) Get off welfare and do something or C) get over it. I'm tired of hearing that if you just happen to be a 40 something year old man who just "happens" to have sex with 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 year old girls consistently for the past ten years or more than you are not a pedophile but a "freak." And that those girls were "whores." I'm tired of hearing that if you dance on a video and were ill treated and got caught up in some ill sh*t because you lacked guidance that you just a gold digger and you deserve what's coming to you. I'm tired of hearing that if you just happen to have a child by one man then a child by another man, you trifling, ignorant, with no class and should keep your legs closed. I'm tired of hearing that if you speak ebonics and have a regional dialect then you're common and ghetto. And I'm so tired of hearing mo'fo talk about how educated they are. What the heck some letters mean on a funky azz piece of paper? "ohh I worked hard," blah, f*ckin blah. Like Baba said, you want some letters, I got a whole book full of them. Cuz I mean really, where it get you? hmmmm?

There's a lot of sh*t on the world wide web that I really don't want to know. It's starting to bother me the sh*t folks putting out there in print and leaving it to permeate a bottomless void for time immemorial. The really sad part is, that sh*t is crazy man. I mean it really is. I have a headache writing this post just even trying to wrap my precious mind around some of the truly insane sh*t that's out there. And it seems to be growing, like some highly infecious airborn bacteria. It's on the news, the internet, billboards, radio, cell phones. But the thing is, that sh*t ain't true. And folks just sucking it up like a gospel. And it really ain't true either. It's not, it's not, it's just not true.

It's just business as usual tho. Mo'fo's sleep walking like this is how it's suppose to be. *shakin head* Maybe I'm being too sensitive about it. I mean ain't like I don't know that I live in the Matrix. I suppose the desensitization of everything like it's okay to kill, steal, rape, murder, molest, colonize, socialtize and call it help and truth is just too much for me. As long as I don't see it right? Then it's all good, huh?

    I LOVED this!!!!

Wow and look at me reading this out loud just to get the feeling that you're feeling right now.

I think the most hurtful thing I've heard the really cut to my core was---

Yeah and it wasn't as tragic as a teen pregnancy and you know that shit right there is as tragic at it comes.

OMG. I sat here and just cried when I read that. Only because I was a teen mom and it was words like that which made me press harder and harder and realize that it wasn't the end of the world for me or my baby daddy with whom I'm still with to this very day!!!!!

    Great post.

    I loved this.

Yeah, sister, you got that right in your post. But people have been stupid from time immemorial. The internet is laying it barer than it ever was.

    Peace.

LOL you know how it is girl.

the same people who would say racism doesn't exist and we need to "get over it"--talking about almost 250 years of forced servitude--would never EVER say anything similar to a Jewish person who still talks about the halocaust.

as for the "piece of paper", i've worked for a lot of 'em. from the BAs to the PhDs. some of 'em can't spell, enunciate, or write as well as my daughter. i'm not joking. for a long time i wondered how...?

then i went to university for a few years. one where tests were given on the "honor system". and you know what i saw?

a whole lotta cheating going on!

people who i thought were so smart duing class were the worst cheaters too. LOL

    it's all a facade, a game.

those of us who work hard and honestly are not always aware of how some others get ahead. and there are some who will get ahead by any means they see necessary, even if it means stepping on a neck or two to climb up.

i've been watching Henry Louis Gates on PBS. the series where they're doing the DNA testing to find African ancestry for some well-known folk.

it's sad that people haven't changed since then. some are still real rotten, some still real good, some a mixed bag.

it's kinda scary that we don't have a 100% system for sorting them all out.
